Grant and funding information

Council provides a range of information to support community groups, organisation and businesses to source and apply for funding.

Community Grants

Do you volunteer for a community group that does amazing things in the Kempsey shire? Do you have a project idea that will support our local community which needs some financial assistance to make it happen? Then apply for a Kempsey Shire Council Community Grant and let us help you do what you do best.

While we would love to support every organisation that applies, we only have limited funds so the application process is competitive and you will have to provide evidence to support your project idea. Applications from organisations that support a large section of our local community and partner with other organisations will be looked upon favourably.

There are four different categories for you to apply under:

  • Mayoral Community Fund
  • Sporting Grants
  • Council Community Hall Grants
  • Environmental Levy Grants

Applications open on 7 September and close 16 October 2020.
