It should be eradicated from the land and the land kept free of the plant.

How does this weed affect you?

Cockspur coral trees can dominate waterways and floodplains, where they outcompete native vegetation.

The trees are known to reduce the availability of food and shelter for native wildlife and have major negative effects on soil stability and nutrient levels.
