Summary

Council is rehabilitating the much-loved Crescent Head landmark, Little Nobby Headland.

Why is Council doing this?

For many years, Little Nobby has been visited and enjoyed by residents and holiday makers alike. However, its popularity has also caused extensive erosion across the site, which is affecting its natural beauty.

What will the project involve?

Council will work with a team of landscape architects to create a detailed vision and strategy to restore, regenerate and maintain Little Nobby while conserving its natural beauty and surrounding environment.

A designated footpath is being planned to replace the current route up the middle of the headland. The new path, to be located on the southern side of the headland, will include platforms where walkers can take in expansive views of Big Nobby and the Macleay Valley Coast.

The rehabilitation of Little Nobby headland is one aspect of the work Kempsey Shire Council is undertaking through the Crescent Head Public Domain Plan.
