Get Ready Family Fun Day

Join in the free activities at the Get Ready Family Fun Day at Verge St Carpark, Kempsey (the carpark at the corner of Sydney and Verge Streets, opposite the netball courts) from 10am-2pm on Sunday 18 September.

Hosted by Kempsey Shire Council, this free event will bring together emergency service agencies such as the Rural Fire Service, Fire & Rescue NSW, State Emergency Services, Marine Rescue, NSW Police, Red Cross and Surf Life Saving Australia to deliver key 'get ready' messages to assist residents in planning and preparing for disasters and emergencies.

The day will be packed full of activities and will include live demonstrations, rescue simulations, displays, a reptile show, food trucks, giveaways and more.

Road closures for Get Ready Family Fun Day

Verge Street and Verge Lane Kempsey between Sydney Street and John Street will be closed from 6.00am to 3.00pm on Sunday 18 September.

Austral Street and the rear entry to Mavins Service Station will remain open.
