Saltwater Freshwater Art Exhibition
The Nulla Nulla Regional Gallery will be hosting the Saltwater Freshwater Art exhibition from 9 August to 22 September 2024. The exhibition will open with an event on Friday 9 August from 3:30-5pm.
Saltwater Freshwater Arts is a biennial touring exhibition combining the Saltwater Freshwater Aboriginal Art Award and contemporary cultural objects exhibition from the 2023 exhibition. The exhibition celebrates local indigenous artists, with artists from the Worimi, Biripi, Dunghutti and Gumbaynggirr Nations on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
It is a significant local Indigenous exhibition with an eclectic and diverse range of artworks and cultural objects, telling the personal, powerful and emotional stories of Aboriginal life, culture, spirit and connection to country.
The exhibition will feature the award-winning work by Alison Williams Sticks ‘n’ Stones and two highly commended works by Rachel Cross called Our Elders and We walked to the other side of the world by Zoe Golding.
