UPDATE: missed green bin collection

There have been delays in green bin pickups for some Kempsey Shire residents over the past three weeks.

Cleanaway, Kempsey Shire Council's waste services provider, has had mechanical issues with some of their trucks.

Repairs have taken longer than expected because of delays in getting spare parts.

Cleanaway is also still feeling the impacts of natural disasters on their fleet, particularly flood damage.

This has resulted in their existing trucks having to work harder for longer, needing more repairs and maintenance.

Council's waste management team is working closely with Cleanaway to help them get their trucks back on the road as soon as possible.

Customers are advised to keep their organics bin on the kerb for collection if their bin is not collected on the allocated day. 

Any customers who have not had their organics bin collected by Sunday afternoon should contact Customer Service on Monday so Cleanaway can be advised.
