Maintenance work underway for Kempsey Traffic Bridge

Maintenance work on the Kempsey Traffic Bridge is currently being carried out by Transport for NSW.

The crews are doing steel and bridge deck repairs as well as joint replacement and road resealing.

Works are expected to take around six months to complete, provided there are no significant delays due to weather.

During this period, traffic flow on the bridge will not be impacted during day shifts. However there will be night shifts towards the end of the project that will impact traffic and this will be communicated before night works begin.

While there is a fenced off area in the park and scaffolding under the bridge, the boat ramp, grassed area, playground and amenities at Riverside Park remain open to the public.
