Fatigue crashes can happen on short or long drives no matter what time of day it is so it's important to get a good night's sleep if you're planning to hit the road these school holidays.

Some of the signs of driving tired are yawning, sore eyes and poor concentration. Being awake for 17 hours or more has a similar effect on your driving as a blood alcohol content of 0.05.

If you're feeling tired while driving then take a break or swap drivers.
