Community Catch-up postponed

The planned community catch-up for Stuarts Point on Thursday 25 March has been postponed due to the current flood event.

We are sad to have to postpone however our priority at present is community safety and residents are asked not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

Council's community catch-ups are designed to give councillors and the community an opportunity to come together in order to look forward and carry out bigger picture, long-term planning.

At present our attention is purely on the short term requirments for assistance.

Council's resources, staff and Councillors are utterly focussed on the immediate flood and as such it isn’t possible to coordinate the catch-up this week.

A new date for the event will be made as soon as possible. Information on the catch-ups will be kept up to date on Your Say Macleay.

Council will be coordinating flood recovery through the Recovery team. For information on immediate financial, mental health and other support during the flood, head to our Recovery Page.

During the disaster, for any immediate help or assistance, NSW State Emergency Service is coordinating the flood response and can be called on 132 500.

In life-threatening situations call triple zero (000) immediately.
