Have your energy costs been rising? Are you considering rooftop solar?
Before installing rooftop solar on your home there's a few things to consider.

When considering installing solar panels, keep in mind these 5 important factors:
Start with energy efficiency
Installing solar to run older appliances to heat a home with leaky windows doesn’t make sense. You’ll get a better return on your investment for almost every energy efficiency improvement you make. So first things first, begin by making your home as efficient as possible.
Compare online
Be aware there are low-quality solar panels around. There are also deals that may not be what they seem. Check Scamwatch for advice on avoiding scammers and how to assess offers.
Check qualifications
Find out about the warranty for your system and clarify the process for getting help if you need it after installation. Ensure your retailer and installer is accredited with the Clean Energy Council.
Plan for your new system
The SunSPOT Solar and Battery Calculator is a handy tool that can help you determine the best sized system for your home. It can put you on the front foot when contacting solar installers. It’s a good idea to have a recent electricity bill handy before you log on to the site.
