Sea Street Oval spraying

Exciting news from the parks and gardens team!

They'll be tackling the tough job of controlling grass growth in Sea Street Oval with some herbicide spraying on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 March 2023 (weather permitting). Don't worry though, it'll be outside of school hours so we won't disrupt any of the kiddos' learning time.

The products being used are Concussion 540K Herbicide and Dicamba M Selective Herbicide, which will make sure the oval stays in tip-top shape for everyone to enjoy.

Unfortunately this means the area will be closed to the public during the spraying, but trust us, it's for your safety. Council staff will be on site to oversee the process and signage will be in place to let you know when the spraying is happening.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach out to our lovely council representatives, Katy Rogan and Cherie Thomas, on 6566 3200. They're always happy to help.

Once the products are dry, the area will be reopened and you can enjoy the beautiful Sea Street Oval again.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation while we work to keep our parks and gardens looking their best.
