Residents who haven’t already taken advantage of Kempsey Shire Council’s free Rural Property Numbering Program have until the end of March to apply for a free number.

As part of their ongoing recovery efforts, Council is issuing and installing free property numbers to owners of eligible properties located outside the shire’s towns and villages.

The program was launched in 2021 to assist residents to identify their house to emergency services, particularly in the event of a natural disaster. Council have been overwhelmed by the popularity of the program with 700 residents applying.

Following this, Council have updated the eligibility criteria and have added more properties to the online map.

Residents have until 31 March to check their eligibility and submit an application to Council. For more information and to search the map click here
