Take 5 minutes to make Kempsey’s roads safe
Published on 09 May 2023
Kempsey’s drivers, motorcycle riders, pedestrians and cyclists are invited to share their concerns and safety solutions.
Kempsey Shire Council want to know what road users and pedestrians are most concerned about in 2023 to help develop a five-year Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan 2023-2027.
They have published a short survey at ksc.pub/roadsafety where everyone in the Shire can have their say.
Phil Moore, Kempsey Shire Council Group Manager Strategic and Asset Planning, said the survey results will help Council focus on reducing serious injury and crashes on our road network.
“As Kempsey continues to thrive our population is growing, more people are choosing to join our community, meaning there be more vehicles on our roads and more people using our road network than ever before,” said Mr Moore.
“This plan will raise community awareness, local road safety, reduce road trauma and help us achieve the state government’s objective of halving road deaths and reducing serious injuries by 2030.”
“We want to ensure that we improve road safety for all road users in the Kempsey Shire and feedback is important as it helps us gain an understanding of specific issues facing residents and relevant solutions them.”
Results from the survey will be used alongside crash data and accident reports to inform the Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan which will be delivered in 2024.
Don't miss this opportunity to have your say on Road Safety in the Kempsey Shire. The survey is open at ksc.pub/roadsafety until 6 June 2023.
