New Kempsey pool operator making a splash with new ideas!

Kempsey pool's new operators are promising a modern vision and a range of fresh ideas as the pool opens for the upcoming swim season.
New Kempsey pool operators, Lifeguarding Services Australia (LSA Group), may be new to the Macleay Valley, but they are definitely not new to managing swimming and sporting venues, operating 22 sports and swimming venues across three states.
Stan Wall, former lifeguard, owner and CEO of the LSA Group, is enthusiastic about taking on the operation of Kempsey and South West Rocks pools.
"We're ready to go at Kempsey pool, which will open for the new swimming season on Friday the fourth of August. We've appointed our fulltime supervisor, and we are currently hiring for other staff, including swim teachers, lifeguards, administration and service roles."
Some of LSA Group's plans include upgrading the kiosk facilities at Kempsey Pool so they can serve hot food, as well as trialling some new and exciting exercise programs alongside the existing aqua aerobics and learn to swim programs.
"There are some fun water exercise classes that are really popular at our other venues, including Salti, where participants do aerobics on floating mats which are secured between the lane ropes. Another program, especially popular with the over 60s, called Aqua Pole, is like pole dancing in the water", said Mr Wall.
"We are also taking expressions of interest in both children's and adults swimming squads, and of course swimming lessons. Visit our Facebook page for more information."
Some other priorities for the LSA Group are supporting local water sports clubs, working with Council to create a long-term plan for the future of the pool, and exploring other options for out of normal operations use for pool facilities.
"It's important to think outside the square in terms of what pools can be used for," said Mr Wall.
"For example, we have these awesome centrally located facilities, which have showers, shelter and food preparation equipment, which may be useful in times of emergency."
