Postal votes

Postal vote applications are open and will close on Monday 20 March.

Early voting

If you prefer to vote in person, there are two early voting locations available in the area.

The Kempsey Anglican Church, located at 28-30 Kemp Street, Kempsey NSW 2440, is fully wheelchair accessible and open from Saturday 18 March to Friday 24 March. Operating hours are Monday to Wednesday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Thursday from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm, Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The South West Rocks CWA Rooms, located at 47 Landsborough Street, South West Rocks NSW 2431, is also available for early voting during the same time frame. Please note that while the location is assisted access, it does not have designated accessible parking or toilets, and the building has steps. The same operating hours apply.

Voting on election day

Finally, on Saturday 25 March 2023, voters can head to the polls to vote in person.

The NSW Electoral Commission website provids a handy map of places to vote in the shire. It has details of accessibility at every venue as well as other details.

Don't forget to exercise your right to vote, Kempsey Shire Council! It's an important opportunity to have your say in the future of our state.
