Materials from PCYC Cottage demolition repurposed

The majority of materials from the demolished PCYC Cottage in Bloomfield Street South Kempsey will been repurposed.

Of the hardwood timber inside the building, 75% will be repurposed by several entities
100% of all aluminium security screens and several timbre windows will be reused
All of the metal roofing will be reused
The masonry will be recycled through Council’s landfill processes
All asbestos waste will be managed and disposed of through protocols

The recycling and repurposing of these materials have reduced the amount of construction waste going into Council’s landfill.
