Crowd gives thumbs up to performers at the Macleay Music Muster

Thousands of local and visiting country music fans rocked up to Kempsey Showground on Saturday night for the Macleay Music Muster.

The large crowd was entertained by some of Australia’s finest country musicians from start to finish.

Headline acts Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole were supported by local Amos Morris and up and coming stars Loren Ryan and Charlie Fittler.

Council’s Director Corporate and Commercial, Stephen Mitchell, said there was a great community vibe at the event.

"A big thank you to everyone who attended for showing so much respect toward each other and to the volunteers who helped make this event such as success," said Mr Mitchell.

"It was an amazing night and one that I hope will be remembered by everyone who was there for years to come."

"I also wanted to mention how tidy the grounds were afterwards. It was impressive how very little litter was left on the ground so a big thank you to everyone for looking after their own rubbish as well."

Positive comments have been flowing through on Council’s Facebook page including:

‘Wonderful family event. Well organised and of course entertainers were superb.’

‘Thank you KSC. I had a blast. Very well organised and it was goo to see so many people come together in the community and enjoy ourselves together in a drama free event.’

‘Awesome event. Great music.’

‘What an awesome incredible afternoon and evening – amazing – thankyou.’

‘It was a cracking afternoon! Our whole family loved it. Well done.’

Finally, a huge thank you to our talented performers across the board for putting on such an entertaining event!
