Joy McKean AOM - Condolence Book

From the 30 May 2023, we invite visitors and residents alike to visit the Slim Dusty Centre to take a moment to reflect and pay respects to Joy McKean. 

Joy passed away on the 25 May 2023 surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 93 years old.

Joy has left an everlasting mark on Australian music through her compositions, as she crafted numerous of her husband Slim Dusty's most iconic songs.

The condolence book is on display for community and visitors to share their special memories of Joy McKean.

A condolence book is also on display at Michael Kemp's Office on Elbow Street, which will be passed on to Joy's family.
