Horseshoe Bay named second best beach in Australia

We’ve always known that the Macleay Valley Coast is home to the best beaches in Australia and now it’s official.

Tourism Australia has named the spectacular Horseshoe Bay second in their 2022 list of the Best Beaches in Australia. This year’s list of winners focuses on nature-based locations and celebrates the significant cultural value of the coast to Australia’s First Nations people.

As its name suggests the beach is horseshoe-shaped featuring a grassy, naturally sloping amphitheatre to enjoy and admire the beauty of the coastline making it a quintessential Aussie beach experience.

  3. The Spit, Queensland
  4. Flaherty's Beach, SA
  5. Loch Ard Gorge, Victoria

  8. Depot Beach, NSW
  9. Murray Beach, NSW
  10. Dundee Beach, NT
