Durri Child Restraint Event

Those driving the most precious cargo – children – are invited to come along to an exciting event aimed at ensuring the safety of our precious little ones.

The Free Aboriginal Child Car Seat Information Day is a unique opportunity for parents and guardians to have their child car seats and booster seats inspected for safety and correct fit, absolutely free of charge. We understand that safety is paramount, and this event is designed to address the critical issue of improperly used car seats.

Did you know that two out of three car seats are not being used correctly? We want to change that statistic and ensure the safety of every child on the roads of Kempsey. By attending this event, you will have the chance to receive a thorough inspection by an Authorised Restraint Fitter who will provide expert advice and guidance on the proper use of child car seats.

In addition to the safety checks, eligible participants will have an opportunity to receive free child car seats. This incredible initiative aims to support families in need, ensuring that no child in our community is left without the essential protection they deserve.

The Free Aboriginal Child Car Seat Information Day is made possible through the partnership between the esteemed Durri Aboriginal Corporation Medical Practice and Transport for NSW. We are grateful for their commitment to promoting child safety and their valuable contribution to this event.

Event details:
Date/Time: Tuesday, 20 June 2023, between 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Location: 17/23 South Street, South Kempsey, NSW 2440

To participate in this event, we kindly ask you to register your Expression of Interest. Please email Theresa Silva at Theresa.Silva@durri.org.au or phone 6560 2300 to secure your spot.

To show our appreciation for your attendance and commitment to child safety, lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. It will be an excellent opportunity to mingle with other parents and caregivers, share experiences, and exchange valuable tips on ensuring our children's safety on the road.

We encourage everyone in the local Aboriginal community to spread the word about this significant event. Share this news with your family, friends, and neighbours, and let's work together to ensure the safety of our children.

Together, let's make a difference in the lives of our children by prioritising their safety on the roads.
