Published on 04 April 2023
Kempsey Shire Council will hold a Public Forum and Extraordinary Meeting of Council on Thursday 6 April from 10am, to discuss the possibility of pursuing further legal action in the Rise Projects v Kempsey Shire Council case.
The meeting will focus solely on determining whether an appeal is a viable option after the NSW Land Environment Court ruled against the Council in March.
Additionally, on Monday 3 April, Council argued in court if partial clearing was permitted, some areas must be protected. Find out more at Partial clearing of Rise development allowed
There are limited positions to speak to Councillors at the Public Forum on the Rise Developments - Phillip Drive, South West Rocks - Lot 2 DP1091323 - CC2100097 item.
