Deep Creek Bridge on Mines Road is becoming safer, stronger and more durable with its replacement locked in for July.

Kempsey Shire Council is asking residents and motorists to use alternate routes while Deep Creek Bridge on Mines Road from Monday 3 and Sunday 16 July.

Mines Road at Deep Creek Bridge will be closed during this time.

Residents and motorists needing to access properties west of this bridge will need to use Mungay Creek Road to Armidale Road. Those east of the bridge can travel directly to Armidale Road.

Once replaced, Deep Creek Bridge will be a new concrete structure, able to withstand heavier loads and provide safer conditions.

Please note that Bococka Bridge on Mines Road was replaced earlier in the year. These upcoming works are for Deep Creek Bridge, also along Mines Road.

Costs for this replacement is part of Council’s $20.5 million funding from NSW Government’s Fixing Country Bridges program.
