Crazy Day a mad success

Kempsey CBD and West Kempsey businesses had a lot of fun on Friday 23 June, taking part in the town's 2023 Crazy Day Sale. 

Crazy Day provides an opportunity for businesses to clear out their stock before the end of financial year, as well as a tantalising opportunity for local shoppers to support local businesses while getting some awesome deals.

This year's event marks the return of what was an annual occasion on the Kempsey calendar since 1986, before a four-year pandemic-related break.

Businesses reported that the day was a success, with a great buzz in the air, the streets bustling with more shoppers and some shops even extending the sale into the next day to take advantage of increased interest.

Council is looking forward to supporting more of these days, building on the desire of Kempsey residents to shop locally and support local businesses.
