Will these actions improve our coastal waterways?
Published on 09 August 2022
The Kempsey Shire’s coastal waterways are beautiful and a vital part of life for many residents, so it’s important to look after them.
Kempsey Shire Council is up to stage 3 of developing a Coastal Management Plan for the Macleay Valley coast and we are asking the community if actions outlined in the draft plan will improve our waterways.
Several key issues and hazards have been identified in previous engagement workshops including community needs, a changing climate and the risks of development.
We have put together a list of actions to help mitigate these issues and hazards. Will these actions improve our coastal waterways?
Complete the survey, or come along to one of our community workshops.
- South West Rocks: Tuesday 16 August 6-8pm at the South West Rocks Country Club
- Hat Head: Wednesday 17 August 6-8pm at the Hat Head Bowling and Recreation Club
- Crescent Head: Thursday 18 August 6-8pm at the Crescent Head Surf Life Saving Club
