Published on 24 February 2023

BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED
Crescent Head residents and visitors can now safely drink tap water.
NSW Health has authorised the lifting of the Boil Water Alert after receiving the results of water sample tests.
Kempsey Shire Council staff worked into the night on Friday to repair the infrastructure responsible for tap water.
The notice itself could not be lifted until test results confirmed the water is safe.
Crescent Head's water has now been confirmed as safe to drink.
Thank you for your patience and help with this situation.
Notice issued on Friday afternoon - now lifted
On Friday 24 February, Crescent Head residents were advised to boil tap water used for drinking or to use bottled water until further notice.
Problems with water treatment meant that the drinking water in the Crescent Head Water Supply system was unsafe.
