Temporary jobs available with the Australian Electoral Commission
Published on 29 March 2022
The Australian Electoral Commission is looking for people across Australia to fill over 100,000 paid temporary positions for the upcoming federal election. While most of the work comes on the day of the election, some jobs take place up to weeks before the day.
No election experience is required as paid training will be provided to those who are selected for the role. Salaries for the jobs will vary based on the role and will range between $25.54 and $48.29 per hour.
As a condition of employment, all temporary election workers will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical exemption applies. Safety measures will be in place to protect the wellbeing of the workers and voters.
You can find out more here or register your interest to be considered for work once the election is called.
