Get your crayons, pencils, and markers ready—it’s time to get creative!

Plum the Kangaroo is on a mission to teach kids what should (and shouldn’t!) be flushed down the toilet in our fun and educational book, That’s Not Poo! Now, we’re inviting kids to bring Plum’s world to life with colour!

Join our That’s Not Poo! Colouring-in Competition for a chance to win awesome prizes. Whether you colour inside or outside the lines, we want to see your most creative and colourful masterpieces!

How to Enter

  • Download the official colouring-in sheet from the Kempsey Shire Council website or find it in your rates notice.

  • Colour it in however you like—crayons, markers, pencils, glitter—go wild!
  • Drop off your masterpiece at Council’s Customer Services, 22 Tozer Street, West Kempsey.
  • Competition Opens: Monday, 3 February 2025
  • Entries Close: Friday, 28 February 2025 (4:30 PM sharp!)

Judging & Prizes

Our expert judges from the Water and Sewer team will pick the winners based on:

  • Creativity
  • Effort
  • Overall presentation

Prizes:

  • 1st Prize: $50 Big W voucher
  • 2nd Prize: $30 Big W voucher
  • 3rd Prize: $20 Big W voucher

Winners will be announced on Kempsey Shire Council’s website and social media pages, so stay tuned!

Terms & Conditions

1. Who Can Enter?

  • Open to children aged 3-12 years.
  • Entries must be submitted by a parent, guardian, or school representative.

2. How to Participate:

  • Use any colouring materials you like—crayons, pencils, markers, paints—get creative!
  • Submit your entry in person by the deadline to our Customer Services office.

3. Important Dates:

  • Deadline: Friday, 28 February 2025, by 4:30 PM (Late entries won’t be accepted).

4. Winner Announcement:

  • Winners will be contacted via the details on the entry form.
  • If we can’t reach a winner within 7 days, the prize may be given to another entrant.

5. Showcasing Your Art:

  • By entering, you give permission for your artwork to be displayed in public spaces and on Council’s website/social media.
  • Entries won’t be returned, so take a photo before you submit!

6. General Conditions:

  • Kempsey Shire Council reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition if necessary.
  • Personal information will only be used for the administration of this competition.
