Extra yellow bin collections this festive season

To help make disposal of holiday waste easier, we’re offering extra yellow bin collections from December 23 to January 3.
You can put your yellow bin out for collection during both weeks, making it easier to manage all that leftover wrapping paper and more!
Below, you'll find answers to all your waste collection questions for the upcoming festive season.
Will my bin still be collected as normal?
You can check what bins go out when here Waste & bin collection or using the Kempsey Shire Waste App.
Are there extra waste services?
Put your yellow bin out for collection both weeks between Monday 23 December 2024 and Friday 3 January 2025 on your usual bin day.
Food scraps should go in the green bin. A helpful tip: freeze your prawns before placing them in the green bin to help reduce any unpleasant smells!
Recycle your bottles, cans, wrapping paper (except foil), cardboard and rigid plastic containers in the yellow bin.
