Kempsey Shire Council’s annual footpath cleaning program is here to keep our bustling CBDs fresh, clean, and inviting for locals and visitors alike. These efforts not only enhance the appearance of our town centres but also ensure a safer, more pleasant environment for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s program will see Kempsey Shire Council’s dedicated crews meticulously cleaning footpaths in Crescent Head, South West Rocks, West Kempsey, and Kempsey CBDs.

To minimise disruption, most of the work will be carried out after hours, ensuring businesses remain open and accessible throughout the process.

Steve Pellen, Coordinator Civic Services, is leading the charge in this year’s effort to beautify the Macleay Valley. Speaking about the program, he shared his team’s commitment to delivering exceptional results for the community.

“Our crews are pulling out all the stops to make sure our local footpaths are sparkling, safe, and ready to welcome everyone. We’re going above and beyond to keep our town centres looking their very best,” said Mr. Pellen.

We understand that these works might cause some minor inconvenience, and we sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience.

Together, we can ensure our community spaces are a source of pride and a welcoming fresh face for all who visit our beautiful region.
