Exciting upgrades are underway at Grassy Head, and soon, residents and visitors will enjoy enhanced facilities designed with accessibility and community enjoyment in mind!

Kempsey Shire Council is making significant improvements to the Grassy Head Playground and amenities block, making the area more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to everyone.

What’s New

The upgrades include the installation of a brand-new accessible bathroom within the existing amenities building, ensuring that Grassy Head’s facilities cater to all community members.

A thoughtfully designed accessible pathway will link the revamped building with the surrounding car park and the soon-to-be-completed playground facility, creating a smooth, wheelchair-friendly connection for visitors.

These additions are part of the Council's commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone can relax, play, and enjoy the beautiful Grassy Head area.

Council has awarded this project to Programmed Property Services. This is a proud step forward for our area, bringing world-class amenities and play equipment that enhance the quality of life for residents and make our community an even more attractive place for families and visitors alike.

Temporary Access and Alternative Facilities

During the upgrade, access to the existing amenities building will be temporarily closed to the public. However, Council will provide a temporary toilet block on site, ensuring no loss in facilities while the renovations are underway.

These temporary restrooms will be available throughout the duration of the works to ensure community needs are met without inconvenience.

For those planning a visit to Grassy Head, rest assured that your comfort remains a priority, and we’ll continue to keep the area accessible and convenient during this exciting transformation.

Why This Upgrade Matters

Accessible facilities like these foster a more inclusive environment and create a lasting impact on the quality of life in our community.

For Grassy Head, this upgrade isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s about building connections, enhancing well-being, and ensuring everyone has access to clean, safe, and enjoyable public spaces.
