Kempsey Shire Council is currently undertaking an assessment of our network of footpaths.

The information gained from this will enable better management of the footpath network whilst also providing important information in relation to the maintenance schedule.

These activities will be done by Council’s inspection contractor, Infrastructure Management Group.

You may observe quad bike style assessment vehicles traveling on public footpaths around your work, residence, or other locations within the shire during this period.

Surveying is estimated to take approximately 1 week to complete and is vital to gain to help better the footpath network across the Kempsey Shire.

Vehicles are clearly identifiable and operators will be vigilant and yield where ever possible to the needs of the pedestrian public.
