This PAW-gust, we invite the residents of Kempsey Shire Council to make a difference in their pets' lives by taking the pledge to become the owners their dogs deserve. By signing up for our FREE Take the Lead program, you’ll be making a significant contribution to your furry friend’s well-being.

Meet Gus, our ‘unofficial’ PAW-gust celebrity, in the video below. After a 1-hour intensive training session with Jason Harris, Gus and his owner Giles made incredible progress with just a few simple commands and minor lessons.

Training isn’t just about teaching your dog new tricks; it’s about building a stronger bond with your pet and understanding their behaviour. That’s why Kempsey Shire Council has partnered with Jason to bring you training videos, that make training achievable for everyone.

These resources are designed to help you develop a successful training regimen that covers basic commands, consistent reinforcement, and addresses your dog’s social and physical needs.

If your goal is to keep your dog safe, improve their social skills, prevent problem behaviours, and establish clear boundaries, then this program is perfect for you.

We encourage you to Take the Lead by August 31st. By signing up, you’ll receive:

  • Access to dog training videos
  • Free ‘check-ins’ to ensure you’re making paw-sitive progress
  • Support with pet registration checks

If you are one of the first 150 to register, you’ll also receive a dog lead! But that’s not all! You’ll also have the chance to win toys, and vouchers for local dog training and grooming services.

If you want your four-legged friend to experience the same transformation as Gus, be your pet’s hero and sign up today: ksc.pub/lead
