Sign up for free training and treats for your dog
Published on 21 August 2024
The "Take the Lead Challenge" returns this August! This annual dog training campaign encourages Kempsey residents to improve their relationship with their furry friends through positive and effective training techniques.
Building on the success of previous years, the campaign offers a series of free resources, expert guidance, and fun rewards, all aimed at giving pet owners skills to help train their dogs.
The first 150 participants to sign up for the Take the Lead challenge will receive access to weekly dog training videos, live weekly check-ins with professional dog trainer Jason Harris, exclusive rewards including leads and toys, plus the chance to win vouchers for local dog training and grooming services.
To sign up, residents can visit the campaign’s official registration page on: ksc.pub/lead.
Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for building bonds between dogs and their owners based on respect, discipline, and trust. The weekly live check-ins via a dedicated Facebook group will allow participants to ask questions and receive personalised advice from an expert.
Jason Harris’ Top 5 Dog Training Tips include:
- Train your dog every day in some way.
- One command from you = one response from your dog.
- Be patient with your dog.
- Aim to increase your dog’s skills.
- Keep training sessions short and fun, always ending on a positive note.
You can pick up your Pledge Pack on Saturday 7 September outside Kempsey Library from 9 am to 1 pm. This is a great opportunity to collect your pack and meet other participants.
With expert guidance and great rewards on offer, the "Take the Lead Challenge 2024" is the perfect opportunity to develop a stronger bond with your dog and make training a fun and rewarding experience for both of you.
