The Kempsey Shire Council is pleased to report significant progress on the ongoing Kempsey sewer main relining project. As of now, approximately 1,800 meters of DN150mm sewer main have been successfully relined. This essential infrastructure upgrade is a critical part of our commitment to maintaining and improving our community’s sanitation and public health standards.

Stage 2 of the project is set to commence on July 15, 2024. This phase will focus on the sealing of 89 property service junctions, which is a vital step to ensure the longevity and efficiency of the sewer system. These works are programmed to be completed by July 31, 2024.

The entire project, with an estimated cost of approximately $400,000, underscores Council's dedication to investing in vital community infrastructure. This investment not only enhances the reliability of our sewer system but also aims to reduce maintenance costs and prevent future disruptions.

We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation during this period of improvement. Stay tuned for further updates as we approach the completion of this important project. For more information, please visit the Kempsey Shire Council’s website or contact our customer service team.
