The shire’s waste stations are making some changes to ring in the new financial year.
Bellbrook Waste Transfer Station, which has until now been managed by a third party, will move under Council management with KSC employees staffing the facility from 1 July.
It will continue to be open from 9am-3pm on Wednesdays and Sundays, closed on public holidays.
To bring the facility into line with Council’s other waste sites, in the interests of staff safety Bellbrook Waste Transfer Station will no longer be accepting cash from that date and will only accept electronic funds.
In another change, South West Rock and Stuarts Point Waste Transfer Stations will no longer accept concrete from 1 July. Those seeking to dispose of concrete will need to attend the Waste Management Centre in Crescent Head.
