Regional Youth Holiday Break Programming a Success in South West Rocks

In a resounding success, a series of 12 free workshops and experiences aimed at engaging, connecting, and fostering a love for arts and local Aboriginal culture among youth were hosted in South West Rocks and Kempsey. Funded by the NSW Government, the program attracted hundreds of participants from near and far, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Local Dunghutti woman Nancy Pattison from South West Rocks Figtree Descendants Aboriginal Corporation, who led the workshops in South West Rocks, shared feedback from attendees expressing gratitude for the enriching experience. One participant remarked, "Thanks for your generous spirit in teaching us to weave and sharing stories and singing! Topped our experience at South West Rocks!" Another attendee exclaimed, "What a fabulous experience, loved it! Thank you."
