Safari tents coming to Crescent Head Holiday Park
Published on 17 January 2024
Five glamping-style safari tents will soon be installed at Crescent Head Holiday Park, with work to begin onsite in late April.
The safari tents will face the creek, providing visitors to the area a comfortable and modern glamping experience.

Safari tents are a popular addition to many Holiday Parks, offering guests the ability to relax in luxury accommodation, while still being able to experience the natural beauty of their surroundings.
Many of the existing built assets at Council’s five Holiday Parks are showing the impact of wear and tear from the extreme coastal environmental conditions.
The installation of these safari tents at Crescent Head is part of a ten-year program to refurbish and replace the existing built assets across Council's Holiday Parks.
In April 2021, Kempsey Shire Council (Council) adopted 10-year Master Plans for each of its Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks (Holiday Parks) to provide strategic direction for the Capital Works program to upgrade, replace and refurbish built assets within the Holiday Parks.
A range of different types of holiday accommodation including safari tents and tiny homes have been proposed for our Holiday Parks, which are robust, and able to withstand the extreme coastal environment.
The installation of these tents at Crescent Head Holiday Park are the first in the Kempsey Shire and are an exciting addition to our accommodation offerings for visitors to the area.
This project is funded by the Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks.
