Published on 17 August 2023
Cricketing legend Steve Waugh is coming to the Slim Dusty Centre on 7 September 2023 to share his remarkable experiences travelling through India in this vibrant photography exhibition that feature in his new book The Spirit of Cricket.
Captured by Waugh in diverse locations across India this photographic exhibition showcases the raw emotion and splendour of India’s connection to sport.
On the exhibition Steve Waugh comments “I have chosen 220 photographs from the tens of thousands I captured on this journey, and now, with this new book and the generous support of Canon Australia, I’m proud to share and celebrate my collection with you. I hope I’ve done the people of India justice with the showcased images, and my quest to capture the very essence and ‘spirit’ of the game and the passion of the people who love it.
At the exclusive exhibition opening night event in Kempsey, immerse yourself in the sights of India as you listen to Steve speak candidly about his travels and answer questions.
Treated to canapes and drinks in the Nulla Nulla Gallery at the Slim Dusty Centre guests will revel in an evening surrounded by fellow sports lovers.
