Kempsey Shire Council has a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan(PDF, 8MB) in place.

The Pollution Incident Response Management Plan for Kempsey's sewerage schemes outlines:

  • procedures for notifying a pollution incident
  • the immediate action to be taken to reduce or control any pollution
  • procedures for coordinating any action taken in combating the pollution caused by the incident.
