South West Rocks Surf Life Saving Club Foreshore Improvement Project
In accordance with the Kempsey Coastal Zone Management Plan (2016), Kempsey Shire Council in partnership with the Office of Environment & Heritage (Coastal Program) and the South West Rocks Surf Life Saving Club (SWR SLSC) have engaged the University of NSW Water Resources Laboratory (UNSW WRL) to prepare concept design options/plans to address foreshore bank stabilisation and improve community usage values of the SWR SLSC foreshore area adjacent to entrance of Saltwater Creek.
UNSW WRL will be presenting a series of draft design options/plans to stakeholders and interested community members for discussion at a Workshop to be held at the SWR SLSC on Tuesday 21 March 2017 commencing 6:00pm.
Representatives from UNSW WRL will provide an overview of possible foreshore improvement options and discuss logistical issues, constraints and benefits for each of the presented options.
All interested Community members are invited to attend and participate in evaluating options and determining preferred foreshore improvement outcomes.
