Seniors festival 2019, get involved

Community life - 30 October 2018

Kempsey Shire Council and the Seniors Festival Organising Committee invite organisations, groups and businesses to be a part of the 2019 Seniors Festival in the Macleay to be held 13-24 February 2019.

Kempsey’s first Seniors Festival in 2018 was a roaring success with more than 18 events held in venues across the Macleay. The wide selection of activities attracted many enthusiastic participants from our seniors community and next year we would like to reach more of our local seniors and connect them to services, activities and events that are of interest.

Feedback from the 2018 event stressed the importance of having fun and sharing information about services available across the Valley. As a result the 2019 calendar of events will be launched with a Seniors Expo to be held on 13 February in Kempsey, and supported by a wide range of health, creative and educational activities held around the Macleay. To achieve this we need your help!

With this is mind, Council is pleased to offer its full sponsorship packages, now available to interested sponsors, partners and presenters to exhibit at the Seniors Expo and to support the wide array of events on the calendar. There are a variety of ways you can be a part of this wonderful community event including organising and hosting an event in your local community. The more events held across the Macleay the better, we want to showcase the amazing array of services and supports to our community.

We would like to thank and acknowledge our Principal Sponsor Home Instead for their ongoing support, and members of the organising committee who will assist in delivering a full calendar of events.

To find out more and register your interest please access the sponsorship package from the Seniors Festival registration page at
