Tozer Street, West Kempsey - roadworks in progress
Update No. 5 - 19 July 2018

Roadworks in Tozer Street are nearing completion. The project involves upgrading and/or replacement of the road pavement, drainage, kerb and gutter and footpaths.

The section of road between Elbow Street and Marsh Street has been completed except for linemarking.

The parking in the section of Tozer Street south of Elbow Street has been changed to centre parking with parallel kerbside parking. Centre islands are now being installed prior to asphalt resurfacing.

During the work traffic control will be in place as required. Motorists are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Maria River Road, Crescent Head - roadworks in progress
Update No. 2 - 19 July 2018

Gravel resheeting on Maria River Road, Crescent Head has now commenced and is expected to take up to two weeks to complete. Not all of the road length will be resheeted at this time. The work involves shaping the existing road surface, laying gravel and rolling to compact, and reshaping table drains as necessary. This work requires the use of earthmoving plant and trucks.

Short delays can be expected. During the work traffic control will be in place and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Motorists are requested to obey the speed limit and follow the directions of traffic controllers at all times

Macleay Valley Way, Bellimbopinni/Clybucca - roadworks in progress
Update No. 2 - 19 July 2018

Roadworks on Macleay Valley Way between the Frederickton highway interchange and Plummers Lane are progressing. Replacement of the bitumen surfaced road shoulders has been completed and the replacement of failed sections of concrete pavement is nearing completion. The use of traffic signals 24 hours per day may still be required.

On completion of repair works the concrete surface will be ground to smooth the joints between slabs. Linemarking will also be removed/repainted where necessary.

During the work traffic controllers may also be used as required and a temporary speed limit will be enforced at active work sites. Motorists are requested to obey the speed limit and follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Macleay Valley Way (Lachlan Street), South Kempsey - roadworks in progress
Update No. 7 - 19 July 2018

Roadworks in Lachlan Street, South Kempsey are progressing. The project involves upgrading and/or replacement of the road pavement, drainage. kerb and gutter and footpaths between Middleton Street and Bloomfield Street and includes a roundabout at Middleton Street. Kerb and guttering and resurfacing of the parking lanes between Yarravel Street and Carri Street has now been completed. Work on the roundabout at Middleton Street has commenced.

During the work traffic control will be in place as required and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Motorists are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Plummers Lane - roadworks in progress
Update No. 3 - 5 June 2018

Roadworks on Plummers Lane from Macleay Valley Way and extending 1.2km to the east have now commenced. The work involves widening, strengthening and bitumen sealing the road and requires the use of earthmoving plant and trucks. Short delays can be expected.

During the work traffic control will be in place and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Motorists are requested to obey the speed limit and follow the directions of traffic controllers at all times.
