Nulla Nulla Creek Road - McIntyre’s Bridge replacement
Update No. 2 - 23 May 2018

Work to replace McIntyre’s Bridge on Nulla Nulla Creek Road is progressing. Placing of the deck units was delayed and was completed on 21 May. Road works to realign the new bridge to the existing road will now commence on 28 May. It is expected that the bridge will open to traffic by 1 June (weather permitting).

During the work traffic control will be in place as required. Motorists are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Sherwood Road, Yarravel - roadworks nearing completion
Update No. 1 - 23 May 2018

Roadworks on Sherwood Road, Yarravel from Ronella Drive to Hillview Drive are nearing completion. It is expected that bitumen sealing will be undertaken on 25 May (weather permitting). Short delays can be expected during the sealing operation.

During the work traffic control will be in place and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Motorists are requested to obey the speed limit and follow the directions of traffic controllers at all times.

Tozer Street, West Kempsey - roadworks in progress
Update No. 3 - 23 May 2018

Roadworks in Tozer Street between Elbow Street and Marsh Street are nearing completion. The project involves upgrading and/or replacement of the road pavement, drainage, kerb and gutter and footpaths. On completion of median islands the final asphalt surface will be placed. This work is expected to be completed by 15 June (weather permitting).

Similar work is also progressing on the southern side of Elbow Street. Replacement of kerb and gutter and pavement reconstruction on the western side has been completed. Similar work has commenced on the eastern side, to be followed by a change to centre parking and completion of median islands and resurfacing.

During the work traffic control will be in place as required. Motorists are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Macleay Valley Way, Bellimbopinni/Clybucca - roadworks in progress
Update No. 1 - 14 May 2018

Roadworks on Macleay Valley Way between the Frederickton highway interchange and Plummers Lane are progressing. The project involves replacement of failed sections of concrete pavement and removal and replacement of bitumen surfaced road shoulders. Work has commenced on replacing the failed concrete slabs which necessitates the use of traffic signals 24 hours per day. The work requires the use of earthmoving plant and trucks and will take up to 8 weeks.

During the work traffic controllers may also be used as required and a temporary speed limit will be enforced at active work sites. Motorists are requested to obey the speed limit and follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Plummers Lane - proposed roadworks delayed
Update No. 2 - 7 May 2018

Roadworks on Plummers Lane from Macleay Valley Way and extending 1.2km to the east were planned to commence on 30 April. While some initial works have been completed delays on other projects due to wet weather has resulted in commencement of the roadwork being further delayed. It is now expected that work will commence on 16 May and is expected to take ten weeks to complete. The work involves widening, strengthening and bitumen sealing the road and requires the use of earthmoving plant and trucks. Short delays can be expected when works commence.

During the work traffic control will be in place and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Motorists are requested to obey the speed limit and follow the directions of traffic controllers at all times.

Macleay Valley Way (Lachlan Street), South Kempsey - roadworks in progress
Update No. 6 - 7 May 2018

Roadworks in Lachlan Street, South Kempsey are progressing. The project involves upgrading and/or replacement of the road pavement, drainage. kerb and gutter and footpaths between Middleton Street and Bloomfield Street and includes a roundabout at Middleton Street. The next stage of work has commenced on the western side of Lachlan Street between Nicholson and Yarravel Streets. Work on the roundabout at Middleton Street is also expected to commence on 21 May.

During the work traffic control will be in place as required and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Motorists are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.
