Show & Tell – workshops building skills in self sufficiency and healthy living

A series of workshops will be held providing skills development opportunities for community members. These are free workshops and rely on the generosity of people to give of their time to host a workshop. If you feel you could host a workshop in an area such as preserving food, making soap, making jams and jellies, keeping backyard poultry, beekeeping for beginners please call Julie Woodrow on 6566 3200

Community learning workshops

Healthy Communities recognises that the skills and techniques involved in growing, preserving and producing food from home are not available to everyone. To assist residents gain skills and build a greater level of self-sufficiency and showcase the potential that exists to start a small enterprises, we are offering a number of free workshops. Workshop facilitators are generously giving of their time and skills and places are allocated on a first to register basis, so if you are fortunate enough to secure a place and for any reason can’t attend, please let us know.

Business planning

Marilyn Breen, ETC Small Business Advisor in partnership with Kempsey Shire Council will be holding a two hour workshop that will result in participants developing a one page Business Plan.  

This workshop is fully subsidised by ETC & Kempsey Shire Council

Feedback from the MicroAgri Forum told us that many people were looking for assistance in understanding the basics of preparing a business plan.

This is a hands on workshop and bookings are essential. Please bring along a notebook.
