Healthy Communities

Many hundreds of people within the Macleay have benefited from the physical activity and healthy eating programs offered through the Healthy Communities initiative over the past few years, and now the scope has expanded to ensure even greater community involvement.

In addition to healthy living, Healthy Communities will now be working to grow local leadership, expand interest and participation in a range of activities to build more resilient and connected communities.

Placemaking will sit at the heart of this work as it builds upon local community assets, inspiration, and potential, with the intention of creating environments that promote people's health, happiness, and well being.
