Proposal to name Verge Street Oval gates
Council has received a proposal from the Macleay Valley Mustangs Rugby League Club to name the gates of the Verge Street Oval the “Lloyd Hudson Memorial Gates”.
Mr Hudson was born in Kempsey in 1923 and began playing rugby league as a schoolboy. He represented NSW in two interstate Rugby League matches and as an Australian Army heavyweight boxing champion. He was made a life member of the Macleay Valley Mustangs and was awarded the Kempsey Shire Council Citizen Achievement Award in 2004. Mr Hudson died in November 2015 aged 92.
Council is seeking community feedback on the gate naming proposal.
Submissions will be welcomed for 28 days, closing at 4:30pm on Monday 15th May, 2017. Submissions must be made in writing and addressed to The General Manager, Kempsey Shire Council, PO Box 3078 West Kempsey, 2440 or made electronically to email@example.com.
Please note that any submission received by Council may be made publicly available.
