Kundabung Community Catch-up

Kundabung Hall

Council’s next Community Catch-up will be held in Kundabung on Thursday 27 June from 5pm to 7pm at Kundabung Hall.

Less formal than a Council meeting, the Catch-ups involve Councillors and senior Council staff out in the community inspecting sites of interest, answering questions and building relationships. They are designed to give residents the opportunity to find out more about projects and priorities specific to their area of the Macleay.

Residents attending the Catch-up are encouraged to submit their Kundabung-related questions for discussion via Council’s community engagement website, Your Say Macleay.

Aerial weed spraying

To protect the local environment and as part of Council’s responsibility to address high priority weeds under NSW biosecurity legislation, aerial weed spraying operations targeting Bitou Bush will take place across Stuarts Point, Middle Head and Grassy Head from Monday 17 June to Friday 28 June (weather permitting).

Bitou Bush infests about 80 per cent of the NSW coastline, extending 10km inland in some areas. Spraying herbicides from helicopters for the treatment of large tracts of Crown Land infested by Bitou Bush is an effective management technique which has been used by various land management agencies across NSW.
