Horseshoe Bay Playground

Horseshoe Bay Playground now open

The new Horseshoe Bay Playground was officially opened last Friday, in time for the school holidays.

Stages 1 and 2 of the project have been made possible due to a successful partnership between the South West Rocks Sport and Recreation Association, Kempsey Shire Council and the wider community.

A huge list of local organisations, businesses and individuals have donated goods, services and money towards fundraising efforts, while Nestlé workers from the Smithtown factory, students from South West Rocks Public School, Kempsey High School, local day care centres and community members have volunteered hundreds of hours of free labour.

Some of the new features of the playground include a 6m spider climber, a new toddler’s piece, an all-inclusive orbiter, a triplebay swing-set with a joey seat attachment for parent and bub, monkey bars, a mud kitchen, colourful cultural poles, extra plants and landscaping.
